The duet was made in 1998 because the band members were interested on recapture and spread an essential part of the musical and cultural identity of our country, the tango. "Chamuyo" approaches to the music civic tradition and recreates the important plays of the classic repertoire embracing compositions of all times, from the "Guardia Vieja" to the present.
The instrumental characteristics added to the band members youth and the difference musical experiences they have had, make "Chamuyo" approaches to the tango with a lot of respect, but without the prejudice of considerate it an aged and stagnant music. This is the way the music can be made vital and current, but conserving firmly, at the same time, his roots in history.
Searching to achieve a global spectacle, further than the strictly musical, "Chamuyo" has got since 1999 advice from a scenarist and actors, with some of them participating in some presentations.
